The PCIe bus seems to require a hack/workaround when PCI is enabled as
well. Unfortunately this is guarded by an CONFIG_IFX_PCI ifdef, which is
only defined in lantiq's BSP code. The config symbol for the upstream
lantiq PCI driver is CONFIG_PCI_LANTIQ.

Here the device tree entry for ifxhcd is listed as compatible with one
supported in dwc2 (after patching the dwc driver appropriately).
A second entry is added to support the second core of the hcd. This
entry is listed to be compatible with only dwc2. Done this way there
should be backwards support for both hcd drivers (ltq-hcd and dwc2)

This patch switches calls to readl/writel to their
dwc2_readl/dwc2_writel equivalents which preserve platform endianness.
This patch is necessary to access dwc2 registers correctly on big
endian systems such as the mips based SoCs made by Lantiq. Then dwc2
can be used to replace ifx-hcd driver for Lantiq platforms found e.g.
in OpenWrt.
The patch was autogenerated with the following commands:

Some Lantiq SoCs are not able to use buffered writes properly with
Intel command set flash due to the way NOR addresses on EBU are
manipulated. This patch disables buffered writes on those devices.
The only device affected at the moment is ARV4510PW, others use
AMD/Fujitsu command set.

The bb-rc3 image for the BTHOMEHUBV2B is too big for its
mtd partition. This patch corrects the partition sizes in
the device tree. This patch should really go in before
bb-final, otherwise the BTHOMEHUBV2B images won't be useable.

As far as I am aware, amongst the lantiq boards, jffs2_nand was
only used on the BTHOMEHUBV2B. Ubi-related modifications to the
device tree for that board mean that the resulting jffs2 images
no longer work, and are no longer required anyway. So I suggest
removing the related configuration, which this patch does.
If anyone else is using jffs2_nand on a lantiq target please speak
up!
Incidentally, for a jffs2 rootfs partition concatenated to the
kernel image to be recognised and mounted correctly on nand
this patch or something equivalent is required:

This patch adds factory image building for the DGN3500, all variants,
and fixes sysupgrade images to make them play nice with the sercomm
secondary boot loader.
The factory images can be used directly in the update dialog in the
interface of the stock firmware and via the special Sercomm bootmode
and a special windows flashing utility (allegedly present in the CD
that came with the device -- but it's also compatible with the NSLU2
Upgrade_207_XP utility.) The special bootmode can be activated by
turning the device on while holding the reset button pressed, then
releasing it when the power led starts blinking red and green. Please
notice that if using the 207 utility, it will always report that the
flashing failed even though it completed successfully. Just power
cycle the router manually after the utility reports the failure and
OpenWRT will boot. This same utility (despite reporting failure in
this case too) can revert a DGN3500 (any variant) to the appropriate
stock Netgear firmware.
This patch is a heavily modified version of a package I found on the
OpenWRT forum with a couple fixes and features added -- mainly the
generation of all the different image variants to support all known
models directly, atm known variants are AnnexA-WW, AnnexA-NA and
AnnexB-DE/GR.
I tested the patch successfully on my device.

kernel panic, at least with the ARV4518PW.

These patches add support for the Astoria ARV7519RW aka Livebox 2.1
The PCI and PCIe interfaces have been disabled. Also, because there are
two revisions of this board with different GPHY firmwares, two targets
were defined.

ARV7510PW22, ARV752DPW and ARV752DPW22 have the RT2860 eeprom stored in
flash as big-endian, but the driver needs it in little-endian format. We
have to swab it before handing it over. This requires my earlier patch
for busybox.
Funnily enough, ARV752DPW works also with the incorrect eeprom, but
undoubtedly unoptimally. I have a hunch that also the final remaining
Lantiq board would require this swabbing, but I'm not sure, so I just
swab it in the three boards that I know about.

The existing code only tries to split a parition with name "rootfs"
while actually looking for kernel+rootfs, where usually "firmware" is
used as a partition name. This doesn't make sense, as even if there
was a partition 'rootfs' given by mtdparts or via device-tree, this
code would lead to another partition called 'rootfs' being created
which would not be properly distinguished in the current user-space
code.
While potentially we could use CONFIG_MTD_SPLIT_FIRMWARE_NAME to make
that configurable, the lack of users of brnboot and the fact that we
can freely decide the partition name made me simply change the
hard-coded string constant from "rootfs" to "firmware".
(I'm going to add support for ARV7506PW which run brnboot and needs
this change)

Use platform data array for storing ath5k EEPROM instead of creating another one.
EEPROM size is 2048 words (2 bytes), so we must read 4096 bytes from flash.
No need to keep the checksum fix now that the EEPROM is loaded completely.
Add a manual eeprom swap for ath9k and keep the endian way.
Use mac-offset property retrieved from the DTS.

The GPIO buttons of ARV752DPW are active low.

EEPROM is an actial serial EEPROM on the WiFi module, therefore we can remove
ralink_eep from the dts.
USB power-enable GPIO turned out to be GPIO #3 (found via probing/brute-force).
PCI works with default settings as long as the vendor bootloader is used.

On linux 3.3, the fixup forced the regdomain to 0x67, causing low TX power.

WIFI eeprom:
As discussed, it is impossible for nand and spi flash platforms to have the eeprom data available from mtd. I suggested to load the eeprom from user-space. I've looked into regular firmware loading but this is only possible when using modules. I've created a sysfs entry that allows reading and writing the eeprom data to the platform data. After loading the eeprom data I rely on pci-hotplug support to disable the bogus pci device and rescan the bus (with fixups and all). Because hotplug is not available, an init script is created that performs the copy from mtd to platform data. I think it is best to eventually move the sysfs functions to dev_wifi_athxk.c file, this would get rid of the external to the ath9k platform data.
SPI flash:
It seems that the spi-xway driver is not really working. It causes my kernel to crash in all sorts of ways. I added to bitbang SPI to be able to the calibration data mention above.
I've kept the original mtd partitioning that Netgear uses.
Buttons/LED:
Both buttons are working properly. Two leds are not enabled: The red internet led is connected to the pci_gnt1 pin... I can't disable it because then DMA stops working.
The green wifi led is connected to an unknown atheros gpio.

The VLAN mapping on the ARV4520PW board is the following:
port on Router: | VLAN in software:
LAN 1 | 3
LAN 2 | 2
LAN 3 | 1
LAN 4 | 0
DSL | 4
So LAN4 is not VLAN4 but VLAN0 (VLAN4 is DSL port) -> set "3 2 1 0 5t" as default switch config.
