ecfd245133 mac80211: disable ipw2x00 for big endian targets 
The ipw2x00 drivers assume that the system they are running is little
endian, and access everything in native byte order. When run on a big
endian system, everything breaks apart.

Since fixing this is non trivial on a first glance, disable them for
big endian targets.

91bdcc65e9 mac80211: do not add debugfs_create_devm_seqfile() on recent kernel versions 
An #ifdef for the kernel version was missing around the header of
debugfs_create_devm_seqfile() and the LINUX_BACKPORT() was also not
done.

c54b1be7c2 mac80211: make ath10k firmware v2 selectable 
Added option for old firmware version (10.1 API v2). It seems that recent
firmware versions are constantly crashing (at least on a QCA9880-BR4A-R) and
this provides the option to select an older version instead.

cb52ede81d mac80211: Drop ath10k workaround for providing calibration data

32549f52cb ath10k: remove support for the obsolete STA firmware 
Current firmware should work for station mode as well, and the older
firmware will usually behave worse and become unsupported over time.
Also, the MAC address handling on ar71xx is only implemented on one
firmware version.

ddfaee36ba ath9k: make DMA stop related messages debug-only (#11862, #9654) 
A long time ago, ath9k had issues during reset where the DMA engine
would stay active and could potentially corrupt memory.
To debug those issues, the driver would print warnings whenever they
occur.

Nowadays, these issues are gone and the primary cause of these messages
is if the MAC is stuck during reset or busy processing a long
transmission. This is fairly harmless, yet these messages continue to
worry users.

To reduce the number of bogus bug reports, turn these messages into
debug messages and count their occurence in the "reset" debugfs file.

0aa351196a mac80211: fix build on UML 
A duplicate include guard prevents inclusion of barrier.h in UML build and this prevents mac80211 from building.

This patch re-enables mac80211 hwsim and renames the include guard.

fa2dfdb74b mac80211: make netifd script create AP interface directly 
Before starting hostapd we create interface for it. The problem is we
try to create STA interface just to let hostapd change it to AP later.

It may fail if device doesn't support STA interfaces or if we already
hit a limit. Consider following phy (it's from BCM43602 and brcmfmac):
$ iw phy phy0 info | tail
        valid interface combinations:
                 * #{ IBSS, managed } <= 1, #{ AP } <= 4, #{ P2P-client, P2P-GO } <= 1, #{ P2P-device } <= 1,
                   total <= 3, #channels <= 1

Trying to setup 2 interfaces: STA + AP results in:

3.18.12 backported 61ada528dea028331e99e8ceaed87c683ad25de2 ("sched/wait:
Provide infrastructure to deal with nested blocking") from 3.19, causing
the following error on load:

[   13.588000] compat: exports duplicate symbol woken_wake_function (owned by kernel)

Fix this by guarding it with a check for 3.18.11 or earlier instead of
3.19.

daaed6f251 netifd: fix start_disabled 'sh: bad number' in mac80211 setup (bug #19345) 
Two errors "netifd: radio0: sh: bad number" have recently surfaced in system
log in trunk when wifi interfaces come up. I tracked the errors to checking
numerical values of some config options without ensuring that the option has
any value.

The errors I see have apparently been introduced by r45051 (ieee80211r in
hostapd) and r45326 (start_disabled in mac80211). My patches fix two
instances of "bad number", but there may be a third one, as the original
report in bug 19345 pre-dates r45326 and already has two "bad number" errors
for radio0.

e4c35bd9fb mac80211: make b43 N-PHY default for brcm47xx legacy subtarget 
Subtarget legacy is supposed to support all ssb SoC except for BCM4705.
There are few BCM4703 devices with 802.11n supprt (WRT160N v1.0, v1.1).
Few BCM4704 devices with 802.11n: ASUS WL-500W, Linksys WRT150N v1.0 &
v1.1, Linksys WRT300N v1.0, Netgear WNDR3300 v1, WNR834B v1 & v2.

It seems we have to enable N-PHY for legacy as well to support above.
Unfortunately it increases root.squashfs size by 48 460 B.

3cc4fd7370 ath: relax regulatory rules for default regd code 
Most AP devices out there do not have a properly programmed regulatory
domain code, which means they are limited to US frequencies by default.

This has been a major annoyance for a long time now. Since no fix for
the manfuacturing process seems to be forthcoming, the only sane option
seems to be to allow users to change the country code in such cases.

a0cc6803c8 mac80211: Revert adding SM Power Save capability to hostapd configuration 
Part of rev 44173 added setting the SM Power Save capability in the hostapd.conf
file if the driver indicated that it was supported. It appears this was
incorrect, because the field in the actual HT Capabilities field in the AP
configuration is really a state indication. Just copying the state from the
capability resulted in the AP indicating that it had SMPS enabled all the time
if it supported SMPS. This effectively just disables all clients from sending
packets to the AP with more than one spatial stream, for no good reason.
So remove this part of the change.

b86545c86d mac80211: fix NULL pointer crash in monitor frame injection TX path 
This "patch to the patch" fixes a NULL pointer derefence crash in the new
intermediate software queues. The crash can be reproduced by injecting an
802.11 frame with a BSSID that does not belong to a configured vif. The
wperf tool (https://github.com/anyfi/wperf) may be convenient for doing
this.

e0aaac8434 mac80211: fix fallback to macaddr 
If '/sys/class/ieee80211/phyN' is not a symlink, the call to readlink
produces either an empty path (if /sys/class/ieee80211/phyN/device doesn't
exist) or a path that begins with '/sys/class/ieee80211' (which does not
work with the subsequent line to strip '/sys/devices' from the beginning of
the path).  Modify the checks to detect these conditions, and fallback to
using the macaddr.

20940138ac scripts: fix wrong usage of '==' operator 
[base-files] shell-scripting: fix wrong usage of '==' operator

normally the '==' is used for invoking a regex parser and is a bashism.
all of the fixes just want to compare a string. the used busybox-ash
will silently "ignore" this mistake, but make it portable/clean at least.

this patch does not change the behavior/logic of the scripts.

f34cbdcf61 mac80211: Fix config variable name for dtim_period 
The vif option dtim_period was accidently renamed dtim_interval in r38988
("netifd: add wireless configuration support and port mac80211 to the new
framework"). This is wrong and makes the dtim_period/dtim_interval a dead
option because the rest of the config generation code still uses dtim_period.

867ba199f8 mac80211: fix disabling of 802.11n features 
r40682 ("mac80211: clean up ht capability handling, drop the use of the
ht_capab list, use individual variables instead") removed the ht_capab list and
replaced it with optional variables to disable features for a phy. But these
variables weren't added in drv_mac80211_init_device_config and thus didn't make
any difference when modifying /etc/config/wireless.

c9b99da7a5 ath: Add config option for DFS support 
This patch adds a config option to enable DFS in ath9k and ath10k
drivers (with ath10k you need the AP-branch firmware). I'm not entirely
sure about the regulatory compliance issues, though. As far as I
understand, enabling the DFS_CERTIFIED config options implies that the
device is certified for DFS. No doubt the original firmware has obtained
such a certification, but not with the open source drivers. I suppose
that as long as this is disabled in default builds (like ATH_USER_REGD)
everything should be fine, but it would be nice to have out-of-the-box
OpenWrt support for DFS. I'm also not sure whether the description of
the configuration option should say something about regulatory compliance.

3bc77db5f5 802.11s: fix authsae support in netifd 
This patch implements support for 802.11s protected mesh wireless networks (using authsae) in the netifd framework.

Until meshd-nl80211 implements a proper -P option for the PID file, this uses shell backgrounding in order to be able to get the PID for the process.

f5fce5e0da mac80211: skip antenna gain when compiling regdb.txt (#15397) 
The antenna gain attribute has been removed from the upstream regulatory database.
Incorperate patch from Luis R. Rodriguez to skip the parsing of the gain attribute
in genregdb.awk in order to emit proper rules again.

Also refresh fuzzy patches while we're at it.

c1a86f1ef2 ath10k: update firmware and allow choice between AP and STA firmwares 
This patch updates ath10k firmware to the latest version, changes the
default firmware to be the one optimized for access point operation, and
introduces a configuration option to choose the client-optimized
firmware instead during build time.

38587f87ed wifi: Introduce 802.11ac support 
This patch introduces 802.11ac support to mac80211 and hostapd. The split of
VHT160 in two 80 MHz bands is not yet supported, since it requires an
additional user supplied parameter for the channel of the second band.

c1a2a87f3a netifd: fix mac80211.sh to respect setting of mcast_rate 
This patch fixes a bug in /lib/netifd/wireless/mac80211.sh, where
the UCI setting of wireless multicast traffic (in uci: mcast_rate)
is not respected within netifd. Especially in Freifunk mesh networks
the olsr routing as effected by this, as only the lowest mcast_rate
was used, even when uci ncast_rate was set to something else.
In function mac80211_setup_adhoc() the value of mcast_rate is missing
in json_get_vars.

8384c0dba0 ath9k: add workaround for AR9331 USB host controller hang with USB1.1 devices 
When wifi radio is reset, some bits in (undocumented) USB registers may
flip. Patch adds setting them after radio reset (channel change, up/down).
With this patch stability of USB1.1 full-speed devices, connected directly
to AR9331 host port (no USB2.0 hub) is improved.

c8e742a080 mac80211: wl12xx: build them again 
WL_TI is bool but was set to =m, which deactivated it. Now it is set to
=y and should be activated in the config so the wl12xx driver gets
build.

82a2969100 ath10k: enable Atheros 802.11ac driver 
This enables usage of the ath10k driver on OpenWrt. Only 2.0 PCI hardware
is supported. The ath10k firmware is currently only available
through github so use that as its source for now.

This goes build tested, not run time tested.

9d4145efe5 kernel: fix DMA error when BCM4331 is connected to BCM4706 
The BCM4331 supports a PCIe max request size of 512 bytes and uses
that, but the PCIe controller in the BCM4706 just supports 128 Bytes
and that causes a DMA error for packages bigger than 126 bytes. This
fixes the problem by setting the BCM4331 also to 128 Bytes.
