+Cuprate contributor Boog900 posted a CCS [update](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/469#note_26940) and started a new discussion thread to figure out ways to prevent P2P [proxy nodes](https://github.com/monero-project/research-lab/issues/126). As well, there is an 'unofficial' IP ban list for node runners to deter nodes that aren't actual nodes, just proxies to grab XMR network users' IP addresses.
