This is a major thing and may break compatibility with the upstream. Arguably the easiest way to implement this would be implementing a package that is (somewhat) compatible to Travel::Status::DE::*, much in the way it seems DBRIS was added. This addition would allow using a lot more data sources, since pretty much every public transport company exposes that data for Google Maps.
